Excellent history of the Jewish history of Aden. Given a personal tour (because we were the only ones there at the time) by Sarah, a very personable, friendly and knowledgeable docent. Well worth a visit, but only open...

עברתי ליד מיקום המוזיאון הזה כמה עשרות פעמים ורק הפעם הבחנתי בו וזאת כנראה עקב השלט הצבעוני הגדול שהוצב בכניסה. היינו ארבעה, המוזיאון היה ריק מלבד האחראי במקום. הוא הקדיש לנו את מירב תשומת הלה והסביר לנו ארוכות הכל: על עדן ומיקומה, על תולדות הקהילה היהודית שם וההיסטוריה שלה כולל פרעות והעליה ארצה ועבר עמנו בין המוצגים השונים. לזכותו לציין עוד שלא לעג לשאלה המטופשת שנשאלה ע"י אחד מאתנו: מה הקשר של עדן לקולנוע "עדן" הישן שבסמוך והסביר שאין שום קשר ודווקא קולנוע "אסתר" (לשעבר בכיכר דיזנגוף) היה בבעלות אחד מקהילת יוצאי עדן. המוצגים הרבים צפופים מחוסר מקום ויש להקדיש זמן לבחון את התמונות...
