This place looks very unassuming and is the type of a Cafe that one would pass by and not stop at unless it was recommended by someone. I strongly recommend making the effort to go there although it is off the beaten path. The food is very flavourful, delicately spiced, imaginative and unique. The 3 main dishes that we had were the Zaatar flavored schnitzel, the Mangold patti and the eggplant on a bed of tahine sauce (see description in the attached photos of the menu) as well as two 500ml draft beers cost I.S. 212 which is very reasonable for this market. The service was very friendly and helpful. The single stall washroom is upstairs (see photo) and is not accessible to people with mobility issues. The background music here is the best of the late 1960's and early 1970's Rock and Blues (such as Jenis Joplin, Patrick Klein, Woodstock performers etc). I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique take on the local Israeli/Middle...
Read moreDelicious real homey Lebanese food. Rare gem in this city. Try the kebab with the tahini or the ceviche, the Kubbe with tahini is also great. Real authentic food cooked by the Lebanese owner and her Palestinian chef. Women owned bar. Beautiful crowd, very international, LGBTQI and friendly crowd, very diverse atmosphere. Great place to have your birthday at with friends. There's a back deck which is more for meetings and private dinners/dates, and there's the front where u can hang out and see the parade of Tel Aviv's night life or even a friend or two. They have DJs and events also....
Read moreWe went there for dinner last Saturday. They ran out of food! 4 of the main dishes were unavailable and two more became unavailable by the time we finished (we sat next to the kitchen so we could not help overhearing). The waitress did not write down our order, no wonder one of the dishes came in twice. The food that did come was good, but overall we were very disappointed with the experience. They showed no sign or remorse that so many dishes were unavailable. Any restaurant with a reasonable level of service would have offered a desert...
