L'antica panineria — Restaurant in Agrigento

To start, let me preface with the waiting time. It is Tuesday evening at around 7pm. I left at 7:40ish. It was peak time, and really busy, but my hunger and my trust in this place played a big role in staying.

The place is filled with locals, and everybody was waiting a long time, as there was only 2 men serving. So, be mindful of when you come.

The service was immaculate. I ordered with minimal Italian at my disposal, and I was able to get through with the gentlemen easily. He was patient and efficient, especially with how busy the shop was.

The food came out in around 10 minutes. I paid €13.50, for 2 paninis and a hotdog. When myself and my wife got on our train 10 minutes later, the food was heaven. All the ingredients tasted fresh and were full of flavor.

I’m very happy we found this amazing place while walking through Agrigento. The panino con malza is an absolute highlight and made us come back here.
