I stayed at this BB few weeks ago for 10 days. It was very conveniently located in the historical centre, and also quite close (5-10 minutes walk) to the bus and train terminals. The nuns prepare delicious sweets based on local recipes, which they serve at breakfast. The big thing about the breakfast is that the guests have to share a large table, instead of sitting at small, separated tables, like usually is the case with other hotels. This leads to wonderful conversations among the travellers, and I personally have enjoyed many such great moments during my stay. Also very close to this location are major sites from the historic centre, mainly churches. By taking the bus from the bus terminal, one is within few minutes to many of the attractions outside Agrigento: Valley of the Temples (very close, it can even be reached by walking, but it requires a bit of it), then San Leone with its wonderful beaches, Casa di Luigi Pirandello, where the great writer was born, etc. The frequency is very reasonable, within 30 minutes - 1 hour of each other, and some lines even run on Sundays! This is quite rare here in Sicily. The sea is a light turquoise, a beautiful colour almost as far as the eyes can see, it just gets a little bit darker towards the horizon. This is another thing unique to what I've seen in Sicily so far. I would enjoy anytime staying at this BB again, it was very safe and btw: it has its own monastery complex, very old, to visit. The complex is...

Read moreIf you think you'll be staying in what you've imagined a room in an old monastery to be, this is not it. The building where the B&B guests are housed is quite modern inside, more like a standard hotel. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. The breakfast was good. We were presented with the standard fare, but wrapped in a napkin next to our plates each morning was a delicious fresh pastry. We were there during a slow season and there weren't many guests. I suspect the baking the B&B is known for slows down during the off season. But lest you think you're in a standard B&B, if you wake up early enough, you can hear the nuns singing their prayers. I sat outside and listened as the...
