Great food, but very selective about who they serve. Lined up? And was ignored because of how I looked and spoke. Twice very kind locals ordered for me and twice the staff served the orderee and not us. After a local, who observed what was happening, and made a complaint on our behalf, we were served with much fan fare and apologies from the original servers who had ignored us. ​Se c'è una cosa che mi mancava da morire dopo anni in cui ho girato Palermo e dintorni, era trovare un pane ca meusa (o pani ca meusa, che dir si voglia) che mi facesse battere il cuore. E, credetemi, l'ho trovato qui, sul lungomare di San Leone, alla Panineria da Alessia & Giuseppe.

​Ho mangiato il pane ca meusa in decine di posti, dai carretti in centro a Palermo fino alle paninerie più rinomate, ma questo ha davvero qualcosa di speciale. Il sapore è pazzesco, autentico e bilanciato. La meusa è cotta alla perfezione, gustosa e non pesante, e il sapore si sposa magnificamente con il pane, che è fragrante e appena tostato.

​Ma non è solo una questione di gusto: la quantità è un altro punto a suo favore. Il panino è davvero abbondante, ripieno fino all'orlo, il che lo rende un pasto completo e super soddisfacente.
