Everyone makes mistakes, but you can tell apart professionalism from ignorance based on whether they take responsibility for their faults. This place failed. We booked a table on Google maps through The Fork, they offered pizza, hamburger, meat and also poke, which was perfect for a family like ours where everyone prefers something different. After two starters, we ordered one from each category. The pizza arrived after five minutes, then the rest, but my poke was without the chicken I had ordered. I asked the waitress to bring me the grilled chicken and I can add it to my bowl. I got it after two complaints and 40 minutes. Everybody else had already finished eating, when I started. When paying, my husband explained the issue to the manager, but this latter only said: ‘This is the normal cooking time for chicken’. The thing was, that the three stripes of grilled chicken were cold and dry when I finally got them. We paid the whole price and felt ripped off and mocked. Just a simple apology, a tiny discount (2 euro, the price difference between the two types of poke bowls) would have saved face for this gastropub. I ordered a bowl with chicken and received just three tiny slices of chicken, a few beans, and the rest was mostly cabbage. It felt more like a side salad than a main course. The second dish — a meat-based main — came without any garnish, potatoes, or even a small salad, just the meat on its own.
