Trulli Holiday — Hotel in Alberobello

This was a very unique experience in Alberobello with their Trulli’s. There is a very interesting history behind the construction of these structures and the materials used. Ancient techniques for building and maintaining homes is still on display and amazing to see a demonstration of how well things work if synergies in nature are leveraged. No AC but more comfortable than modern homes in some ways. The heating is a challenge in the winter considering that we modern creatures of comfort are used to warmer temperatures. They have a pellet fired fireplace which was not working when we got to the room but the emergency number worked and someone came over to fix it. We left the fireplace on in the evening the next day and the room was toasty warm for that night. The town is quite small to cover by foot and many restaurants and stores catering to tourists. These unique trulli rooms in Alberobello were fantastic to stay in. So quaint and atmospheric, they took you back hundreds of years. Staff on reception were very helpful booking us in for breakfast, finding a place to eat our evening meal and showing us where to park our car. The kitchen was very minimalistic, it would be hard to cook a meal but otherwise the rooms were fabulous. Breakfast was provided in a little café in the square and was very good. We found it very hard to find reception as our holiday company had told us it was called Trulli Soave, the actual office was called Trulli Holidays. We enjoyed our stay in this trulli, location is ideal with parking included. Everything is around 600-800 metres away from our trulli. We were very close to their office, and just couple of minutes away from bird viewpoint. Initially I thought we are far off but I later realised out location was indeed perfect with car just outside trulli, no noise and everything just around.

Trulli was clean, well decorated & maintained. It felt very cosy, safe & comfortable. All amenities were provided. Breakfast included was indeed fantastic, they had a tied up with cafe which is just around the corner of their office. Staff was caring, friendly and welcoming.
