B&B La Loggia is a fantastic place to stay for a holiday in Tuscany and is run by an amiable host. The rooms are cosy and (mobile) air conditioning is provided so the room is cool at night. Breakfast is served at a time you can choose yourself and is a great start to the day. The host is always happy to advise you on what to visit and is incredibly helpful. We were planning on going rafting but the rivers were pretty low and Alessandro, who speaks English very well, helped us call around as not all Italians speak English. If this is not enough to convince you to pay La Loggia a visit, their Spaghetteria which is just downstairs from the B&B definitely will with all their amazing kinds of pasta made with fresh products and love. Definitely try to reserve a table on Friday to try their seafood pasta which was truly amazing. From your table at the restaurant and from the windows in the rooms, you can see a beautiful piazza with the campanile of the town as it is located right in the heart of the historic city centre. Finally, while we arrived by car (it was very accessible), it is also possible to arrive by train as the train station is only ten minutes away...

There was also a small sitting room.||||The rooms were not air conditioned (this was a very old house) but with thick walls and shutters the temperature was not too much of a a problem, even in the heat of the summer. Our bedroom had a clothes rack and plenty of space for cases. There was a good choice of large bottles of shampoo and other bathroom products, a strong shower, and the bed was comfortable. ||||I'll review the restaurant separately, but needless to say it was excellent. ||||Breakfast was outside in the cobbled square. The night before, Alessandro had asked us if there was anything special we would like, so he could shop early at the market. I asked for fruit, and sure enough there was a bowl of juicy fruits -- plums, kiwi fruits, apples and grapes, along with his mother's amazing apple tart, fresh croissants, toast and conserves and drinks.||||It is lovely to find a place like this with genuine...
