La Vecchia Osteria — Restaurant in Ancona

The meals here were just delicious! They serve only fish and seafood meals, but thereby they are really good at it. The prices are a little bit high, especially for students like me, but the food quality justifies it. Also i must give to the staff a bonus point, they were very friendly and also even when we stayed longer than their closing hours, they didnt do anything to rush us at all, in fact we realized that we passed the closing hours after half an hour!...

Giunti per vacanza nel Conero , abbiamo trovato alloggio ad Ancona . La prima sera abbiamo deciso di non spostarci ed abbiamo cercato un ristorante in città . Specialità pesce come piace a noi . Scorrendo sulle indicazioni di Google Maps e prestando attenzione alle recensioni la scelta è ricaduta su quello che sembrava uno dei migliori in assoluto nella zona . Giunti a destinazione, in una location del centro città poco caratteristica e piuttosto spartana , all'ingresso abbiamo notato molti riconoscimenti da 4 stelle e più elargiti da un noto sito di advertising per viaggiatori. Si scende nella saletta piu interna in un seminterrato privo di finestre . Il bagno piuttosto angusto . Menù soddisfacente ma interessante , nella carta , buona scelta per i vini. Antipasto freddo sembra buono , ma il pesce non è freschissimo e si sente . Polipo con patate piuttosto gommoso . Paccheri non ben cucinati e pesce e pomodorini non freschi . Il gusto non è buono e nemmeno la cottura . Grigliata sempre nello stesso ordine. Sembrava tutto precotto in pratica . Davvero una sorpresa negativa . Non capisco il metro di giudizio adottato da recensori e dal noto sito per viaggiatori. Sopratutto perché viaggiando nei giorni successivi e visitando altri ristoranti abbiamo poi avuto delle ottime esperienze nei ristoranti della zona .Due stelle forse giudizio troppo alto . Small family run restaurant. Loved the food and the service was great even without anyone who spoke propper English. What was cool is that they provide a QR code which leads to their menu on their website. Chrome did the rest and we had all information about the food in English.
