In a highly confusing culinary turns of events, I found myself in Assisi, home of one of the great Saints, holding what appeared unto my eyes a most glorious burger. As I sank my teeth into that first bite my suspicions were confirmed. Not only was this burger delicious—it was also unique. Piled high with three delectable Italian cheeses, a bun as homegrown as Zac Brown, and a metaphorical cup which overrunneth bacon, this burger of Assisi belongs in the ring battling with the best American heavy-weights. The burgers are excellent. The staff was very patient & helpful since I don’t speak Italian and they didn’t speak much English but we figured it out.
