Hard Cafè — Restaurant in Asti

After I stumbled on this place on the first day of a week spent in Asti, I went back for breakfast here almost every day. Delicious coffee, tasty croissants (the marmalade one was my favourite). Fantastic location in a shaded square with plenty of covered seating for later in the day. The clerk gave me only 1.5euro (4 coins) change for a 8.5 euro bill when I paid 20 euro in hand. Since I am not very good at telling different face value of the coins and trust the people here, I put the four coins into my pocket directly after I got them. When I knew there were no 10 euro coin, I realised they tried to hide 10 euro for the change only because I am a foreigner and they succeeded. Really...

We chose the vegetarian panino and it came with ham. When I pointed out that we were vegetarians they said they would take the ham out. So I went inside and asked for new panini .
