Hotel Lis — Hotel in Asti

Self described as unassuming but don’t let that mislead you. Wonderful professional staff and engaged owners make it an experience that exceeds all expectations. Service is so personalized I asked for ketchup or hot sauce and someone ran out to the grocery and picked it up and brought it back to the table just minutes later. Breakfast was a delightful spread of pastries made on-site, cheeses, eggs, and salami. The staff was always hustling around clearing dishes and sanitizing tables and chairs.

Facility was clean and you always saw staff cleaning, stocking, or attending to guest. We were visiting from the US for our sons wedding. We had arrived in Paris and after 10 days of travel my suit was a wrinkled mess. I asked if there was a laundry available that could press my suit and dress shirt and in just a couple hours my suit was placed back in my room ready for the wedding the next day.

We were greeted with a basket of fruit and a bottle of wine in our room. Which is just another example of the personal touch experience that made the stay make us already start discussing how we can return for another stay at Hotel Lis and experience all Asti...

We were able to park right outside the hotel for free, yet were very close to the city centre. On arrival the first impression is of a rather ordinary hôtel built in the 70’s - but do not be deceived this hotel is a gem starting with the warm welcome from the owners. They had prior to arrival booked a garage space for one of our friends and recommend 2 very good restaurants for our dinner - not just the restaurant of friends.|The rooms are spacious and comfortable- large bed, nice bedding, AC and spotless. Nice touches were really fresh fruit, a bottle of wine, and a great selection of teas with a note from the owners. Straight away you know you are not staying in a chain hotel, but one where the owners care.|They were very present at breakfast making sure you had everything, offering to make your coffee, squeeze your juice despite the buffet being self service. This place is amazing! We stayed for two nights on our tour through Italy and it was easily the best we had stayed at! The staff were amazing, always going above and beyond to move our luggage and make our stay enjoyable. The large, spacious rooms are fantastic, and while the views aren’t great in every room, the super comfortable beds and our gifted bottles of wine made up for it! Breakfast was fantastic both days, with such an array of food! There are cakes, eggs, meats, cheeses, and so many kinds of fresh bread. They also make you fresh juices! There are a few different restaurants a nearby with great food and amazing prices too, with a lovely park nearby. We had a great time and want to say a massive thank you to the staff for making our stay so pleasant....
