Found this delightful place by accident, wandering through Asti, looking for something a little different and not too formal. Lovely terraced outdoor seating. Really enjoyed the excellent food and very warm, helpful service. For 2 people, we ordered the daily special for a starter (selection of 3 appetisers - we chose the Russian Salad, local cheese and the vegetable flan which is like a dense version of a souffle.). Plus we each had a pasta dish as a main course. Mine was the freshly hand-made agnolotti with local cheese and truffle, which was delicious. Would have loved to stay longer for dessert or coffee but we were keen to see some more sites. Definitely recommend for something a bit different in Asti- a modern twist on the Piedmontese traditions. Total spend €44 for 2 people which...

As others mentioned, ended up here with high expectations from the reviews and the intriguing menu, but got disappointed quickly. The food was way below average, none of the plates we got was good. If we were in the USA, I would consider it an average Italian food, but in Asti the expectation is a lot higher. The host was unfriendly and overall low level service, aligned with the food quality. The place is good looking though. Price is honest for the area, which tempted me to leave one more star, but overall I am leaving 1 star because I think it is not easy to find something...

Da astigiano doc e gestore di un circolo con ristorazione, era da tempo che avevo in mente di sperimentare la cucina di questo locale, attirato soprattutto dalle delizie di pasta fresca. L'accoglienza che ci ha riservato la proprietaria è stata da subito molto professionale, ma la sua cordiale disponibilità ha presto avuto il sopravvento. L'offerta degli antipasti, non infinita ma adeguata per un pranzetto estivo, mi ha fatto propenderei per un tris composto da fiori di zucchina ripieni (eccezionali!), peperoni con acciughe e bagnetto verde (molto delicato per non mettere in ombra il peperone) e insalatinacon fagioli-pomodorini-sarzet-olive, qualche julienne di carota e sedano-rapa e listarelle di guanciale (un tripudio di sapori, fresca e ben equilibrata). I tajarin salsiccia e dadini di gorgonzola si sono confermati all'altezza delle aspettative! Per il dessert le proposte sono quelle della tradizione: bunet (buono e ben fatto), panna cotta (onesta, forse col caramello un tantino scialbo) e infine un eccellente tiramisù (davvero consigliato). (Dolci condivisi con le altre commensali) Insomma, uno dei migliori locali del centro storico per occasioni informali. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo: Tris di antipasti, un primo, un dolce, coperto, acqua e caffè a 25€ ... peccato che l'afosa estate astigiana induca...
