BEFED Brew Pub Aviano — Restaurant in Aviano

I took the family there for my birthday dinner on a Saturday. We were only able to get a table because of how early we arrived so if there is a next time I will definitely attempt to get a reservation. The restaurant quickly filled up and a large crowd gathered outside waiting for tables. The guys behind the counter were really friendly even though they were swamped with people and phone calls. One thing that left me puzzled was the waitress said should couldn't put the red cabbage on the side of the plate instead of on the pulled pork sandwich. My son wanted to try it on the side to see if he liked it before putting it on the sandwich and of course he didn't like it, so I ate the sandwich, which was good. Im also a little puzzled on why they serve a side of regular toast with the chicken. Anyway, the peanuts on the table and good beer is a definite plus. My family and I had dinner there Saturday night. We didn't have a reservation, and they still sat us. Our children were exhausted after a day in the snow, so they were a little bit all over the place emotionally in the beginning, but staff were very helpful in their reassurance that we were welcome and very understanding. Our son is autistic and often, his form of communication is screaming. From the moment we walked in, the young man who greeted us was very friendly, the young woman that served us, again, amazing. The food we had was delicious and the prices are really good. They also have a playground just outside. We arrived at 18:00 and there was only one other guest in the restaurant. We were seated immediately but the staff didn't give us any attention for 20 minutes. The waitress asked if we wanted drinks and I told her we were ready to order. She walked away and then sat some other guests and proceeded to take their orders immediately. For a place that has such a limited menu I'd expect much better service . The wait staff was more interested in their personal discussion than covering down on their patrons. They will never get my business again and I'll be sure to let all of my friends know of their inability to take care of the customer. This was the second time I had bad service at this restaurant.
