If Google provided minus stars I would use them for this terrible place. Once you figure out where it is (don’t rely on Google maps) it is a long hike to get there and it terrified my wife to walk across the long foot bridge as she has fear of heights. If you manage to get there, it is a big disappointment. The staff has a superiority complex and doesn’t listen to you. Nobody checks for the Green Pass. Masks are not required. Does not feel safe. Very limited choices on the overpriced menu. We have traveled all over Italy to every region and eaten in hundreds of restaurants, most of them wonderful. Here the food is less than mediocre and the prices high. We didn’t finish our meal and the staff could care less. We had pranzo at C’era Una Volta L’Hostaria and it was easily ten times better at almost half the price. Avoid going...

Really disappointed with this place. I’m traveling alone and walked in and asked for a table for one. The server gave me a look as if he was disgusted by me and told me no rudely and looked away, didn’t even offer a reason. There were 4-5 open tables just in the main room and it was still 3 hours until they closed. The only thing I could think of that he’d act this way is because I’m dark skinned. I walked back after having dinner else where and saw they had sat two of the tables that were empty when I walked in and there was still tables open in that space and in the other room too. Sucks for them as I went to the next place over and spent over 60€ all by myself. Their loss, and sucks because I really wanted to try this place and I’m here for 2 nights, so definitely not gonna...

We were staying in the Civita Di Bagloregio and just happened upon this place on a cool April evening. The firepit in back was inviting and the ambience was great. Service was excellent throughout. Our server recommended a wine which we enjoyed and perfectly complimented our meal. The truffle artichoke appetizer was a home run. So was the mushroom soup. Pear and steak second course was delicious. Crème brûlée finish was very good. Even the coffee was excellent. I walked away thinking that not only did I have my best meal on our trip to Italy, but possibly one of my best meals ever. Thank you so much for...

A Taste of Civita’s Hills and Traditions One of the few restaurants left in Civita — a city on a rock with only a handful of inhabitants still living here, including the grandmother who continues to call this place home. They serve fantastic olive oil made from olives grown on the hill near the restaurant, and homemade limoncello from lemons from the same slopes. Both are available to buy if you wish to take a piece of Civita home. The menu is mostly meat-based. I chose wild boar, which was very good. Prices? A little on the expensive side — but considering the location and authenticity, still worth it.

Great restaurant with an open fire place where they actually cook the food! Really enjoyed all of our dishes during lunch… pictures tell a better story than I can but all of the dishes were hot, tasty and made you feel special! I think the steak with onions and lard was the best, although the pasta dishes were also excellent! Dave room for dessert, the passion fruit CBL was outstanding! Lost 1 star on atmosphere as someone had a dog inside that kept barking… and no one seemed to be able to close the bathroom door, which I could see straight ahead of me… I don’t want to stare at the sink?!

We absolutely loved our meal here. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was so cozy especially on a colder night. Sitting watching the fire as the chef cooked meats over it was so cool to see. We had the gnocchi and mushroom soup and both were absolutely delicious. My photos do not do them justice. In fact the soup (somewhat surprisingly) is the most delicious meal I’ve eaten so far in Italy. It was packed with flavour and huge chunks of many kinds of mushrooms with the perfect amount of bread for soaking up the liquid. We’d definitely recommend trying this restaurant.
