Bar Viola — Restaurant in Bari

Bar Viola was where we started almost every morning during our month long stay in Bari Italy. My wife had her ‘latte freddo con caffè granita’ every morning, and she is not a caffè drinker! I enjoyed a cappuccino for the first week, and changed it to americanos to finish out the month. Their cornetto, brioche, and sandwiches are of highest quality and flavor. Yet what makes Bar Viola special, are the people who served us with pride, offered us occasional advise about Bari and the nearby towns, and treated us like part of the family. We were filled with wonderment and laughter watching Signore Viola zoom away on his scooter with a tray of espresso and other items for delivery…amazing service! We look forward to our next visit to Bari in the future to start our days again...

we only visited once, the morning of the day we were leaving, and we regret not coming sooner😫 it was always packed with people when we were passing by, but now we get it. we initially ordered some sort of Italian sandwich, but the last two pieces they had, ordered someone before us. but we are so glad they did, because what we got instead was AMAZING. the waitress offered us a wrap with parma ham, mayo, salad, tomato and the cheesiest mozzarella and it was delicious and so was the pistachio cornetto, because it was light and the sweetness of the filling was just right. definitely the best pistachio cornetto in the area. we had to take one with us to the airport.😋 we...

SCAM, STAY AWAY Don’t go there. When you enter and order they smile at you, offering to sit down at the tables. Then, they ask you to pay a fee for the “service”

When you ask them about the service, they answer you: the waiter has to bring the coffee at the table … the table isn’t 1km away. It’s 2 metres from the bar.
