Nero Pece Naturalmente — Restaurant in Bassano del Grappa

Really nice restaurant bar located in the centre of Bassano del Grappa. I was there for lunch, but I hear their breakfast is also amazing! The atmosphere is elegant and cozy at the same time, they have lots of plants hanging from the ceilings and an outdoor seating area, too.

We had antipasti to share - cicchetti, a savoury bite with bread and different other ingredients depending on your choice - and then a main. You can immediately tell that the ingredients are of high quality and the presentation is researched. It was a nice culinary experience with an original combination of flavours.

The restaurant is especially good if you’re looking for vegan/vegetarian options, which can be very hard in Bassano del Grappa.

If I ever have the chance to be back in Bassano I will definitely pay this restaurant a visit....

Fantastic breakfast! My wife and I came coming back several times during our visit to Bassano to meet our 1st grandson. I mean, this place was meticulous in the preparation of our breakfast. Way above any other breakfast in Bassano. We sat outside, "read" the newspaper they kindly have available. The soft jazz music playing in the background added to the tranquil mood. Mostly local customers. While peeking indoors we could see the same comforting environment. The staff takes pride in their offering. Premetto che conosco il locale e sono già andata varie volte ma soltanto nel fine settimana. Ho deciso di andare a fare brunch il lunedì, vedendo che il locale era aperto e che prometteva la presenza della stessa offerta de weekend, promessa però non mantenuta.Arriviamo e ci viene dato il menù di sempre tra cui scegliere, quindi immaginiamo che ogni piatto presente possa essere ordinato, invece al momento dell’ordinazione scopriamo che diverse scelte non erano disponibili (cosa specificata solamente perché abbiamo ordinato proprio quello) e che credo avrebbero dovuto indicarci fin da subito. Ordiniamo altro e notiamo che la cameriera del bar va in cucina e ci spieghiamo quindi il perché le cose da brunch più complesse non potessero essere ordinate: perché la cameriera giustamente non è una cuoca e non dovrebbe fare mansioni di altri. I piatti erano pessimi: il mio croque madame era un toast (allego foto), i pancakes non erano stati riscaldati, e l’altro piatto era un pezzo di pane con sopra cose tutte disordinate. Ovviamente la mia critica non è per la povera cameriera costretta a fare cose che non le spettano, ma la professionalità è offrire sempre la stessa qualità, non che il weekend siccome c’è tanta gente pago un cuoco e il lunedì dato che è sempre mezzo vuoto mi arrangio con ciò che c’è. Esperienza pessima, e anche per nulla economica. Specifico che conosco bene i prezzi del posto e sono sempre stata disposta a pagare perché comunque la qualità era ottima, ora, avendo visto che si va al risparmio durante la settimana, sicuramente ci penserò prima di tornare perché non è rispettoso nei confronti dei clienti e neanche dei dipendenti costretti a fare figuracce perché lasciati soli nella speranza che nessuno venga o che nessuno ordini cose complesse. Avrei preferito mi fosse detto subito che l’offerta era ridotta e avrei fatto una colazione normale. In foto 13 euro di croque madame che mi potevo fare a casa...
