toshi sushi — Restaurant in Bastia Umbra

We had vegetarian sushi and salmon sushi. The taste was reasonable, nothing more. The service was relatively friendly but strange - first, you are only given one tablet with a menu in Italian only, not a word in English for non-locals. Second, the waitress speaks only Italian and has trouble understanding the customer's personal space to the point of being unpleasant. In addition, although there is signage, it is difficult to see at night, so it is worth being aware that the entrance to the restaurant is on the back side of the building and is located on the second floor - there are stairs and...

Dopo anni che andavo dal ristorante con la vecchia gestione (Hokkaido) era arrivato il momento di valutare anche questo. Esteticamente non cambia assolutamente nulla (una ventina di tavoli + 3 stanzette private), ma sono state apportate novità quali l'utilizzo del tablet per le ordinazioni ed un nuovo menù. Il personale è molto cordiale e caloroso (tutto sommato come quello precedente), ed i tempi di attesa sono minimi. Menù tutto sommato ben fornito e vario, ed i prezzi sono nella media.

Partendo dagli antipasti (compresi di sashimi, carpacci, insalate, zuppe e compagnia bella) si può notare una buona qualità di impiattamento e freschezza dei materiali, con un sapore convincente. Sushi più che sufficiente, anche se non ho assaggiato molte varianti. Primi anche loro tutto sommato fatti bene. Secondi a base di gamberi un po' deludenti, infatti ho faticato a finirli. La cosa divertente è che la proprietaria spingeva proprio sul fatto di prendere i gamberi che sono la specialità della cucina, ma io la penso in maniera totalmente differente.

Solitamente ordino sempre una 15ina di portare ma qua ho fatto moltissima fatica a finire tutto ed avevo molta sete, il che vuol dire che c'è qualcosa che non va (uso di esaltatori di sazietà?). Infatti non sono stato benissimo per un paio di ore dopo il pranzo. Peccato
