We ate carbonara, tricolori and gnocchi with tomato sauce, served on the paper plates. They were all good, however, they were not worth the price. The pasta is indeed made in house, but it doesn't taste any better than the one you'd buy from a good Italian shop. The same with the sauce, it was good, but you could achieve similar result (or better) cooking at home and cheaper. The restaurant also charges you for sitting at the table (which is something typical for Italy and it'd be fine if they informed you about this before you make an order). We came to be charmed by the famous Italian pasta and left disappointed. The place has nice interior design and is situated in a beautiful alley, but the pasta is what you come for and it doesn't deliver. Maybe if they lower the prices we'd give it another try, otherwise not really. If you can't immediately tell that the food is hand made and especially the pasta then...

Iniziamo dai lati positivi, perché malgrado la pessima esperienza sarebbe scorretto dire che non ce ne sono: la pasta oggettivamente è molto buona; e i tortelli al cioccolato ruby sono una vera e propria rivelazione. Ora passiamo a quelli negativi. Se alla richiesta di un bagno riceviamo la risposta "Non c'è, ma usate quello privato se è proprio necessario" partiamo già male. Perché in quanto ristorante street-food, per quanto casereccio si voglia rivendicare di essere, un bagno per i clienti deve esserci per forza. Il contrario mi sembra alquanto illegale. Se poi mi viene detto con tono passivo-aggressivo, oltre a essere una spia d'allarme per quello che avverrà dopo, non mi viene dato un buon benvenuto ecco. Aggiungiamo anche il fatto che pur essendo uno staff di letteralmente due persone e avendo una clientela di quattro tavoli, il servizio è stato sconclusionato. E da una cucina di due persone mi aspetterei un minimo di gioco di squadra e capacità comunicativa, qui assente. Hanno addirittura il tablet per segnare le varie ordinazioni, ma poi scambiano comunque i tavoli. Ma il finale rimane certamente la parte più memorabile dell'esperienza, perché difficilmente mi è capitato un proprietario più arrogante di questo. Dopo un antipasto di prosciutto e burrata e quattro piatti di pasta, abbiamo anche preso un ulteriore piatto di tagliatelle alla chianina, dato che non eravamo ancora sazi. Tempo due forchettate e abbiamo lasciato da parte: non solo non si sentiva il ragú, ma il tutto era a priori sovrastato da un sapore fortissimo di zucca e amaretto. Non esattamente ciò che uno si aspetta dalle tagliatelle al ragú. Abbiamo subito chiesto che ci venisse tolto dal conto, in quanto immangiabili, dal momento che non ci andava di pagare 10€ a vuoto, ma una volta in cassa siamo stati accusati di essere ladri. "La prossima volta che non volete pagare un piatto però lo ridate subito, perché questo era quasi finito". Cosa assolutamente non vera. Avrei voluto fare un'ulteriore foto per poterlo attestare. Erano letteralmente due forchettate in meno. Diciamo che delle persone che non vogliono pagare, non vengono lì a prendersi un antipasto, cinque piatti di pasta e un dolce. Che poi, dolce, parliamone: dalla foto è visibilissimo, 4,20€ per un bicchierino così piccolo di tiramisù mi sembra alla stregua della truffa. Mai ricevuto un trattamento del genere in tutta...

When we saw them making pasta in the window we were hopeful for good food. The pasta with three tomato sauce was so boring, no flavor and a single cooked tomato was visible. It’s summer, fresh tomatoes are everywhere , why not use fresh ingredients ??? The cacio pepe featured clumps of pasta and sauce without flavor.
