Zerocinquantino Tigelleria is the definition of culinary charm in the heart of Bologna. Tucked away just steps from Piazza Maggiore, this gem delivers a perfect blend of tradition, quality, and atmosphere. The moment you walk in, you're greeted with the warm, inviting scent of freshly baked tigelle and crescentine, true staples of Emilia-Romagna cuisine. The menu is a love letter to the region: simple, yet bursting with flavor. I tried a mixed board with mortadella, prosciutto, squacquerone cheese, and their signature tigelle. Every bite was a revelation. The ingredients are clearly top-notch and locally sourced, and the care in presentation adds to the experience. What sets Zerocinquantino apart is its balance: traditional without being touristy, relaxed yet attentive service, and prices that respect both the quality and the setting. The wine list is thoughtfully curated, and their Lambrusco paired perfectly with the richness of the food. The staff were incredibly welcoming, happy to offer recommendations and share a bit of the restaurant’s story. Whether you’re a first-time visitor to Bologna or a local in search of comfort food done right, this place delivers. Highly recommend for lunch, aperitivo, or even a light dinner. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreSeated promptly, order taken after a short wait. The cold cuts board was tasty enough, wine good. I declined the bread. However payment was chaotic. The waiter advised to pay inside. The cashier sent me outside again to find the waiter because he had neglected to give me the table number. Back inside they found my order and I paid. I left and realized I’d paid way too much. Back to the restaurant again. They had added on extra meat boards and extra services charges. They apologized and paid me back 17€ from the inflated 35€ bill. All round either very careless or deceptive. My conclusion is it’s a good place to hang out but you have to be very very careful with checking the bill and payment. Do not pay until you have checked all the lines...
Read moreCame in here for apertivo. I was interested in trying some regional cheeses, friggone, and local wines and my partner wanted to try some regional meats. The cheeses were nice; however, having had similar tastings I thought that the service was mediocre. There was no explanation of what either of us were eating. The restaurant was pretty empty since it was a Monday and early evening, so it's not as though they were too busy to explain. Ultimately, I called over a server and asked him to explain what cheeses I was eating and he kindly explained both plates. Having just done a sparkling white wine and cheese tasting the day before in Florence it made me appreciate how astute and professional the other...
