We only had Apérol Spritzes here so this review is just based on that. Salumeria Simoni is well located just off of Piazza Maggiore and is a serviceable place to get one of these famous aperitivo hour beverages in a bustling alleyway filled with plenty of options to get the same drink or plates of ham or cheeses.

We'd had a couple of Spritzes in Italy at this point so had something to compare these too. These were serviceable. Decent enough though not the most generous pours or with a fruit slice or anything in them.

We also didn't get a plate of the accompaniments that typically come with spritzes (olives, those round spritz crackers) so not sure if that was on oversight when we were there or if they just don't offer that at this place.

Great location, decent enough spritz. Lots of options for the same within steps of this place if it doesn't...

The Best Charcuterie🤩 As an occasional meat diner, I love this place. This is the 2nd time we had been back to the same place. Instead of ordering the standard platter of charcuterie, we ordered a platter of speck (cooked ham). Additionally we had a panini with speck plus a platter of roast beef.

Beef lovers ….you must try the beef platter with rocket salad and Parmesan reggiano cheese…I inhaled the platter as it was so yummy. Plus the bread was warm and extremely tasty.

Service - 👍👍👍👍👍.efficient and attentive.

I now understand why this place is so popular. Keep up the excellent food and service…will be back...

This is definitely one of my favorite shop that we stumbled upon in my whole trip in Italy. This is a hidden gem. They have all kinds of platters with ham and cheese that are local to bologna region. The staff was super friendly, helped me with wine pairing, and to be honest this is the best wine pairing that I have had so far the wine just goes perfectly with the platter. we had the SALUMI E FORMAGGI ARTIGIANALI platter that was €16 and the wine was the VALPOLICELLA RIPASSO SUPERIORE DOC red wine 7€.
