To be honest, I feel like I stepped in the first tourist trap I could find. I asked how big the portion would be and she said: very big. The burger was offered as something special and with 18! Euro not cheap at all. What came? A burger with the cheapest supermarket bread you can find. It was not roasted, nothing. A tiny little piece of tasteless meat. A bit of cheese and something really cold in between. I have been hiking for two months in Italy, hiking from the north to the south and this was the worst burger ever. The two glasses of beer cost 12 euro, not even half of a liter... All together including service 31.50. and the worst part of all: I left hungry. What did they invest for this food? 1 potato, 1 bread, some sliced carrots, 5 mini tomatoes and a bit of salad and meat .. 2 Euro investment? This is...

If you’re in Bolsena, Antica Trattoria Pizzeria del Corso is worth stopping at. The black truffle pizza is easily the standout—it has just the right amount of truffle in every bite. It’s rich without being overpowering, so you still taste the cheese and the bread, which makes it perfectly balanced. The rustic pizza is another winner, with just enough spice to give it a kick without going overboard. Pair either one with the house wine, which was surprisingly smooth and went well with everything we ordered.

The place itself is welcoming and very family friendly. They kept our two-year-old happy and occupied with breadsticks, which meant we actually got to enjoy our meal without stress. Between the food, the atmosphere, and the way they made us feel at home, it’s the kind of restaurant you’d want to come...

Dreadful experience. We ordered drinks and two pizzas. One pizza arrived, the second did not. After waiting a few minutes, I attempted to ask where my food was. Two separate members of staff refused to actually listen to my question, just rudely told me to wait. “Aspetta! Aspetta!”. I speak Italian well enough to be able to hold a conversation in a restaurant. Eventually, when I had asked a fourth time, I was told they had forgotten to put my order in. By this time my husband had eaten most of his pizza so we told them not to bother, mainly because the food was at best decidedly average. Even speaking Italian, it took me two attempts to get the owner to listen to my complaint. The second time was more forceful!!...
