I was happy for a big portion of Sashimi and stepped into that restaurant. As a film producer and director, I am also based in Asia, Bangkok and Jakarta an I love Asian food. Japanese is very common in Jakarta. I was keen for a big plate of Sashimi. When I stepped into the balcony area of the restaurant I saw a moody waiter, looking to me like something. This already was a bit too much. I was dressed in proper cloth and new t shirt. Maybe he was bothered, that I did not wear a shirt with a sleeve? Of course, there was no reason at all, looking to me like that. I looked into the menue and stepped in. While going to a table, I ordered a beer. His answer, in a bad and arrogand way: we are not a bar... I said: So I cannot have a beer to my dinner? He: Yes, if you will eat. The way he spoke to me was below something. Then I went inside the restaurant and asked for the boss. The boss, a lady, did not even listen to my complain properly and answered, yes, we are not a bar, maybe he misunderstood. No excuse no nothing. I am travelling round the world for film productions. Never ever I was treated like that. I definitely can not recommend this Japanese resto. There are at least three other Japenese Resto's in Brescia and even better ones, according to the ratings. If you don't want to be treated in such an arrogant way,...
Read moreI don't understand all the 5 star reviews of this restaurant. I ate dinner here with my family on a recent trip to Brescia. In general, food is decent (though not exceptional) but too expensive for what it is. Experientially, there are a few flaws. Firstly, they don't provide menus. They also don't provide wifi, so this is annoying for international travellers. Make sure your phone is charged and connected to the internet. I'm also not sure what they charge coperta for if they can't provide menus...the soy sauce and wasabi? Secondly, the toilette situation is something to behold - taps that you have to do a song and dance to get to work and toilets that flush invariably while you are on them. We left still hungry after spending 100 euros (we are not big people and in London would spend 2/3rds this price and be absolutely stuffed). The location is fantastic though (we sat outside). Good thing there was...
