To be honest I’m not a huge fan of endless galleries where you can see tens of similar artworks, which is why this one was ideal for me. The gallery is organised really well, with just a few artworks in each room. There are explanations of the art inspiration and times they were created at the beginning each room, which is interesting as it adds basic understanding of the works you’re looking at. The newly renovated galleries are accentuated by a truly bold choice of velvet wall coverings, shocking at first but ultimately successful.
