Pizzeria del Borgo Antico — Restaurant in Brugnato

We ordered pizza with pomodoro, cheese and prosciutto, which was mediocre. The dough was meh, there was not enough cheese but the pomodoro was good. We also ordered grilled vegetables. Zucchini, pepper and eggplant. They looked grilled but I guess they were only grilled for a minute or two because they were completely unprepared. The eggplant was white and completely uncooked and inedible. I don’t think that somebody who ever tasted this dish could have possibly serve it or cook it. The zucchini wasn’t ready either, but I am okay with raw zucchini so I ate it. My friend couldn’t. The pepper was fine though. Surprisingly the desert was the best part of the experience. Me and my two friends went to this place tonight right after they opened and asked if we could get a table, the manager told us they were full for the night. The place was totally empty, we asked if we can order, but she pretty much refused to talk to us. We passed the place about an hour and a half later and it was still completely empty.

Kurzfassung: Top Essen, Top Service, Top Preis

Langfassung: Wir waren im Urlaub insgesamt 3mal dort Essen. Davon waren wir zweimal ohne Reservierung dort. Immer haben wir einen Tisch draußen bekommen. Man muss dazu aber auch sagen, dass wir direkt nach der Öffnung dort waren. Die Bedienung war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir konnten uns mit der jungen Dame wunderbar auch Englisch unterhalten. Sie hatte sich auch sehr bemüht, uns die Nachtische zu erklären bzw. auf unserem Smartphone zu zeigen. Die bestellten Gerichte waren ein Traum. Echte italienische Küche für wenig Geld, wenn man deutsche Preise damit vergleicht. Wir waren mit 3 Personen dort und haben jedes Mal knapp 50 Euro bezahlt - 3 Hauptspeisen, mindestens ein Nachtisch und die Getränke. Das Restaurant liegt in der Fußgängerzone (ZTL). Daher bekommt man das Treiben auf der Straße mit. Was wir nicht als störend betrachten sondern angenehm. Parken kann man fußläufig auf zwei nahen Parkplätzen - kostenlos.
