Lo Storno — Restaurant in Carrara

If you're a foreign tourist, I strongly recommend you avoid visiting this place because you likely won't even be allowed inside. On January 1st, I was looking for a place to eat since most restaurants were closed, and this was the only one open. Despite the restaurant being completely empty, the owner claimed it was fully booked and turned me away. Assuming they had reservations for group guests, I tried to be understanding and left.

On January 2nd, I went back and found a few people dining there, but once again, I was told it was fully booked, and I couldn't enter. This time, I felt certain it was an intentionally discriminatory act. Realizing that a restaurant with such behavior is unlikely to offer good food or service anyway, I consoled myself that it was better not to dine there and walked away.

I leave this review to save others, especially Asian tourists like myself from Korea, the trouble of visiting this place unnecessarily. I cannot comment on the food, as I was never allowed in, so please do not expect my food...

Very nice trattoria, simple food, local cucina made of local typical dishes. friendly environment and friendly service. Everything is very simple no fancy, and very genuine. Il super cafone eccolo qua! L'anno scorso ho provato a prenotare per telefono e per due volte il titolare mi ha buttato giù perché " non c'è posto", ho chiesto quando ci fosse una data libera e non ha nemmeno risposto e ha buttato giù. Sono andata di persona e ho visto che dal vivo è scortese come a telefono. Ci dava una data e 15 gg avanti senza nemmeno guardare il libro. Quest'anno ci siamo mossi in anticipo, siamo andati e abbiamo fatto scegliere a lui una data purché con tavolo fuori (dentro ci sono 200 gradi): un lunedi sera. Bene. Ci presentiamo e il tavolo non c'è. Gli è rimasto un tavolo all'interno, fronte cucina e con brutta maniera e senza scusarsi ci dice " il tavolo è quello lì". Gli abbiamo ricordato che abbiamo fatto scegliere a lui giorno e ora per poter avere un tavolo fuori ma non ci guarda nemmeno in faccia e ripete che il tavolo è quello. L'abbiamo salutato dicendogli che non è una persona seria e che il suo tavolo può tenerselo. Si mangerà bene? Non so ma non resto al prezzo dell'umiliazione. Posso dire che a Marina di Carrara ho mangiato benissimo quasi ovunque con prezzi onesti quasi ovunque!! E i miei soldi li hanno avuti chi ci ha trattato bene e...
