I had two breakfasts here. Shortly before I ordered the first breakfast the waiters made fun of some tourists who were asking for directions. The food and coffee was okay but this gave a bitter aftertaste.
On the second I asked for a glass of water for my espresso. The waiter returned with a bottle of water. I explained to him that I thought you get normally a glass of tab water with your espresso. The waiter got really angry with me took the bottle and returned some minutes later with 4 glasses of water even though we were just two and placed them aggressively on the table. Read moreSo far, the best Cannoli since Palermo, real Ricotta filling that’s not too sweet (the plain version). My partner had a slice of apricot tart that was pretty good. Cappuccino and Macchiato were perfect. The only downside is that visitor cars are not allowed in town, so you have to park in a parking lot ($5 at the time) and walk into town - no big deal as it only took 5 minutes. Side note for tourists:, if you want a real traditional Cannoli with Ricotta cheese filling, you have to get it in Sicily, or southern Italy as places in North Italy like Rome and Venice will serve you a fake Cannoli that taste like it’s filled with cake frosting instead of Sweet Ricotta cheese...

If you're entering from the coastal side SP63, there's an unofficial dirt car park just off the junction which is free and only a 5 min walk into the square. The other option is a 3€ car park at the other side of the square which is used for accessing the tower Torre Bennistra.
