Met by an eager restaurant manager at the front door and rushed us in. We were served by an elderly waiter who didn’t speak English very well (which of course is not a problem at all). He just didn’t try to communicate very well and rolled his eyes when my partner mispronounced a local wine and then corrected her in a rude manner. After taking our custom pizza order, he repeated the custom toppings which he wrote down and left the table, we felt very underwhelmed by his service which left us feeling small. 15mins later the 2 pizzas arrived, one Napoli and the custom pizza which had 2 toppings missing (olives & basil) we spoke to the same waiter about the missing toppings, he took the pizza away and brought it back with a lot of olives and basil, I took a bite and nearly broke my tooth as all the olives still had stones inside (who leaves stones on a pizza?) I also cut my knuckle with the slippery and very sharp knife, we were given steak knives with a very short grip/handle. The pizzas were very average and the service very poor, the best thing about this place was the Morreti beer. A young waitress bought us our bill and was warm and friendly. The restaurant was very empty and the restaurant next door - Nettuno was buzzing. We finished our night off at Nettuni, with pleasant service & heavenly deserts. I’d highly recommend Nuttuno over this place. 2/10 overall and I would not return, even if I...

I rarely give such a low score, but this time I have to. Nothing to do with the food which, I must say, was of a rather good quality... but not special at all! I mean, in Sicily the average is quite high, especially if you eat fish. Here the food was good, but just in line with the Sicilian average. What was very bad was the service! We were there with our families: one of the 3 little kids had to wait ONE HOUR before eating her pizza. "A mistake" they said. Ok... but after 2 hours we were still waiting our food!! We ended our dinner after 3 hours, we were the only ones at the restaurant in the end, all other people were gone. I am sorry, but the service is part of a dinner IN FULL. I can't give more than 2 stars. Maybe I was just unlucky... I don't know. But I can't give...

Esperienza tragicomica! Ore 13:00. Locale abbastanza vuoto sia all' interno che all' esterno. Ci saranno stati 4 o 5 tavoli occupati. Eravamo in 7 persone, stava iniziando a piovere.

The Italian starters were not really up to the Italian standard I've grown accustomed to during one week here. The fish of the day was good, but too huge and thus very expensive. T-bone steak not to recommend, a bit stiff and chewy. Not so funny with stray cats begging for food, but cosy place anyway. The short haired lady waitress was very friendly.
