It is rare to find a place that so effortlessly combines the nobility of the product with the purity of its presentation. H80Fame proves that in seafood cuisine, nothing more is needed than freshness, the precision of fire, and the courage to let the ingredients speak for themselves.
The evening began with a fritto misto – light, almost ethereal, with each piece of fish and seafood retaining its juiciness, wrapped in a delicate, crisp coating. The grilled octopus was a study in precision: tender as velvet, accented by a subtle smokiness from the grill that gave it depth and character. The accompanying shrimp and calamari were equally flawless – succulent, springy, and seasoned with restraint that speaks of true culinary confidence. And the oysters? Cool, briny, and clean – pure poetry of the sea.
What strikes you at H80Fame is the absence of excess. The dishes are not dressed up with unnecessary embellishments nor do they try too hard to impress. Instead, they carry a quiet respect for the product, for fire, and for simplicity – values that are increasingly rare in today’s overcomplicated menus.
Desserts deserve their own mention, closing the experience with the same strength as the seafood. The roasted almond parfait was nothing short of divine – silky, layered with a deep, nutty intensity, and elevated by the distinctive aroma of toasted almonds. It is, without doubt, a must-try.
Equally memorable is the host himself. With warmth and unpretentious hospitality, he rearranged the garden seating so that our group of ten could dine together. This gesture speaks of the restaurant as clearly as the octopus on the plate.
If you find yourself in Castellammare, I wholeheartedly recommend stopping at H80Fame. It is an experience that lingers – from the first oyster to the very last...
Read moreVery cute little restaurant, just outside the hassel of the market and main roads. Before hand we looked up the reviews about the place and we were very happy with our choice.
The service was really good and wasn't unique, but perfectly calm and considerate in their actions and timing. The food was really good, starting off with the bruschetta and sea brass as the main dish. Both were of impeccable quality and even though the fish was a bit too salty, it didn't change anything about our experience.
Finishing off with a simple dessert and drink made our dinner perfect, topped with the waiter showing us some recommendations for liquors during our stay. We've had an amazing experience and I highly recommend this place for your trip to...
Read moreWe had a wonderful meal. I contacted the restaurant by WhatsApp from their website and booked a table. It was not that busy, so maybe not required on a slow Sunday. Very friendly and welcoming. We had mussels soup, swordfish Sicilian, chickpea flour parcels, seafood risotto and pistachio brûlée. On the side very nice chips and salad. The cover and bread was 11 euros, and gluten free bread provided. The host recommended a very dry Sicilian white wine, which was great. I had a dessert wine and my parter an expresso. The bill was 115 euros. The portions were generous and everything was fresh and that I could see local. An absolutely fantastic meal. We had a complementary delicious organcello (equivalent to...
