The view is beautiful and we have been welcomed very well at first, cannot critic anything about that. My problem started when the waitress who seemed nice negotiated with us so we take a bottle because we ordered two glasses of wine, then we wanted calamari fritti for the starter ( which was the cheapest on the menu) but she lied saying that there was not anymore. For the main dish I ordered roasted swordfish, she can back 5 minutes after to ask me if vegetables roasted as the side is good for me, I thought it was included with the fish but it was 10€, for a plate of plain vegetable without salt or anything to make them look good. I asked for the fish roasted and it was breaded, and it was really bad. The food was bad and flavourless, most of it felt no local and industrial. At this price I was expecting a higher quality : 95.5€ for two people without dessert with a waitress that was explicitly trying to push us to order the maximum and the most expensive stuff For way cheaper we have been to Nettuno which I would...
Read moreWe had mixed feelings about the place. We love the location with a lovely sea view - its where il mulino di scopello used to be, a restaurant we loved. The place has a lovely lounge area, where we had wonderful coctails created by one of the owners with flowers and many local ingredients. So far so good. Unfortunately we were less excited about the food. The concept is to use local ingredients with traditional recipes - the result is a rather heavy seafound menu that was a bit too heavy for us. We had the house starters, and were already fully satieted after it - the gamberi rossi were of great quality, but there was too much bread crums and fry on the stuff. We then had the tagliolini a la cialoma, with black ink, sea urchins and red shrimp, all very good but again a touch too heavy. So if you like more traditional food tgat makes you leave full, this is a great place. If you look for a more modern and lighter food that tickles your senses, I would consider going to egesta mare in...
Read moreMany stairs to get down - be aware for strollers and seniors. Not comfortable. View of the sea is amazing and food is delicious - for that you Deserve two stars. SERVICE HORRIBLE. I REPEAT HORRIBLE. The waiters don’t even look at you when they take orders, made me feel bad for asking him a question like what is fish of the day? Thought they are being rude since we were tourists but half of our family at the table were Sicilians so they were extremely annoyed and actually embarrassed for “their people.” A restaurant is a place to eat but unfortunately if the owners and servers don’t know that food is just a portion of the experience … you don’t deserve any stars. The longest dinner in our 3 week holidays due to completely disastrous management of dining hall and the kitchen. Will...
