La Pigra Tinca - ristorante bar bistrot terrazza — Restaurant in Castiglione del Lago

Came here with my family to sample the great views of the lake. After being given our menus and choosing pizza we then went to order...at which point we were told the pizza oven was switched off. We chose our alternatives from the menu featuring warnings that items would be from frozen if not available...not a good sign. What followed was a mix of average tasting pasta, disgusting over-cooked fish and one decent salad. Our waiter couldn't care any less if he'd tried, and after clearing the dishes which were almost untouched in most cases, we received the bill.

The bill had included beer we hadn't ordered, water we'd not been served and they looked a little disappointed when we pointed that out and got them to redo the bill. We left and won't be going back - They obviously feel that the view, which is beautiful, makes up for the terrible...

Ero già stato qui, anni fa e mi piaceva l'idea di mangiare letteralmente sul lago, anche se devo confessare che il pesce di acqua dolce non è proprio nelle mie corde.

Il locale è stato completamente ricostruito. Struttura nuova arredi nuovi... una piacevole sorpresa!

Siamo stati accolti con molta gentilezza e, nonostante avessimo prenotato telefonicamente poco prima, ci hanno riservato il tavolo migliore, quello che avrei scelto io: molto spazioso e proprio accanto alla vetrata, vista centro lago (era freddo e non potevamo mangiare fuori).

Come da richiesta, ci avevano preparato il seggiolone e si sono preoccupati di mandarevin cucina la comanda per la nostra bimba, così da farla mangiare subito permettendoci di goderci il pranzo piu "tranquilli".

Antipasti, primi, secondi e dessert. Abbiamo ordinato tutte le portate. 3 menù diversi, per assaggiare un po tutto.

I piatti erano tutti molto ben concepiti, realizzati ed impiattati. Sono stati capaci di esaltare il sapore del pesce e degli ingredienti a tal punto che mi sono ricreduto sul pesce d'acqua dolce.

Viene proposta una buona selezione di vini tra cui scegliere.

I piatti che piu mi hanno stupito li ho voluti fotografare: sicuramente torneremo e so già cosa ordinare!

I prezzi sono un po alti, ma finché ci si alza da tavola soddisfatti......

This restaurant was one of the highlights of our trip!

The focaccia was out of this world – almost like a pizza, perfectly crisp and flavorful, truly some of the best food I’ve had in Italy.

The atmosphere was just as memorable: beautifully decorated with a warm, inviting feel, and a gorgeous view of the lake. Service was attentive and friendly without ever feeling rushed.

We left already wanting to come back....
