Don Turiddu da Alfio — Restaurant in Catania

The staffs are very nice and friendly. However, the food are super salty. The mussels are indeed fresh which you can have a try if you do not mind they are quite salty. I will also recommend Penne Panna E Pistacchio but definitely not the Spaghetti Al Nero Di Seppia since it is way too salty and did not taste good compared to other restaurants. The tomato spaghetti for vegetarians taste really bad too as they did not use fresh tomatoes to make the source. For six people, we paid for £91 for 5 spaghetti, two mussels. Each dishes the portions are huge, we could not finish them as they are a bit too much and very salty. The staffs are indeed friendly so no need to worry about...

We had a lovely fish menu for 25 euro including bread, wine and water. Especially the “pepata di cozze” and the “pasta con melanzane e spada” were really good. I would gladly come back just to have that dish with pasta, swordfish, eggplant and pine seeds (forgot to take a picture of it though). Also the antipasti were really good, and the secondo with a mix of grilled fish. All in all a good experience 😊

We had a great dining experience at Trattoria Don Turiddu da Alfio, with delicious food and excellent service. The dishes were well-prepared, flavourful, and paired nicely with the house wine. However, the plates kept coming out one after another, making it difficult to enjoy a breather between courses. Aside from that, everything else was spot on, the service was attentive, and the pricing was very reasonable. Would definitely return, hopefully with a bit more time to...
