Trattoria Serafino da Massimo was one of the best dining experiences we had in Catania. The appetizers were absolutely incredible – huge portions, beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The pasta was outstanding, and both the fish and the prawns were perfectly cooked and delicious.

We were there with our baby and the staff were extremely kind, welcoming and very friendly towards us. The atmosphere felt warm, relaxed and truly authentic – like visiting real Italian friends who genuinely care that you enjoy your time.

The food was good. We ordered the Antipasti for 12 EUR twice because we were in four. We had been there before, so we knew how much they serve for 12 EUR. Unfortunately we got only half of what we got the last times. When we asked, the waiter assured us that this was what they would serve for two antipasti. Of course they charged us for two antipasti. The guy was trying to convince us that he was right, even if what he said didn't make any sense. It's very annoying that again and again people try to charge foreigners more, just because they think they can and because they know, foreigners don't speak their language properly. It was definitely the last time...
