Ristorante Artu — Restaurant in Catania

The place was always full whenever we were passing by so we decided to visit it one night. Honestly, too much hype for nothing. I feel like they’re focusing on quantity rather than quality. The tables are too close one to another, you constantly have someone standing next to your head while 7 different sounds are mixing in your ears because it’s too crowded and noisy. The food..nothing special, it’s good only if you’re too hungry and of course you’ll be because it took 15-20 minutes until a waiter came to pick our order. We have tried much tastier food in Catania. Since I don’t have picture of the food you can tell that I wasn’t amused...

This restaurant is my favourite. We went there to try horse meat. And It was unforgettable experience. Restaurant is in small piazza surrounded by buildings where locals live. Great atmosphere. Owner is very friendly, service is great. And the horse meat...Oh my god. Such a blast. Best meat I ever had. All fresh, juicy, full of taste, straight from grill. Such a big choice of meat. But definitely try horse meat,there is a big choice of different kind. The portion are so generous for very good price. We had to come back next day and tried florentine steak from horse and was delicious again. I really recommend...

Highly not recommended place, at least as regards the cocktails. The menu they provide has no prices for drinks, and do not think this is legal, and they force you to pay €1 per person, which they call “COPERTO”, even if one person at the table hasn't consumed anything! When I asked for an explanation, one of the waitresses, who was quite rude, told me that this is how it works in this place and that I was therefore obliged to pay for it. So I had to pay €11 for a double rum and coke, while one of the bars next door only charged me €6 for an even better rum than the one they used…I felt this place was a...
