Great experience for our group of 16 people. Quite a number… Not easy to Manage, but we have been received and treated like Queens & Kings. Marvelous foods (beef is excellent as the slow cooked poultry or milk feed pork) is served with exquisite wines and both ate coming from Local sources. What else? A great host with Alice (the best English speaker so far) and the Chef behind the scene. Thank you for our unforgettable dinner in Italy ! Grazie 1000! —Our MTB crew—

We got there on a rainy and gloomy day and we hot a warm welcome front the owner. The place was quite and cosy, and the service very attentive. The owner helped us choosing the right wines for the food and we enjoyed our dinner very much. The food is a mix between Italian and the local Friulian cuisine. The place is pet friendly too.

Se vado in un ristorante (perché si chiama trattoria, ma non rientra affatto in quella categoria) mi aspetto di mangiare qualcosa che mi invogli a tornare. Non è questo il caso. Non posso dire di aver mangiato male, ma neanche così bene da gridare quasi al miracolo come leggo in certe recensioni! Lo stesso piatto (ma con pasta fatta in casa e presentazione 10 a 0) preso qualche mese fa in una locanda minuscola cui non davo due lire, mi ha fatto DA SOLO segnare il posto nella lista dei “da tornarci”, qui invece il solo pensiero è stato “a casa mi viene uguale quando cucino al volo in pausa pranzo”. Viste tutte le premesse positive del luogo, del servizio e del menu (scritto con invogliante furbizia), francamente non me lo aspettavo. Auspico che la molta cura posta nel “contorno” venga riposta anche in cucina. Al momento, per me, non lo è.

One can not find better food than here! We came here in summer and ate the best risotto ever. This time we are here again on the 31 December, enjoying the set menu for Capod'anno and every dish is a discovery. Carpaccio, risotto (again!), polentina, tortellini,.. we are not yet through :-). A mix of traditional Friulu recipes with innovative ideas of the young Chef. Bravo! We come...

By the list we expected fresh, innovative food, but we had: Industrial Pasta without sauce, and no taste; Watery meat, ready "roasted" Potatoes and vegetables, all out of the freezer... (No one could tell, they would use fresh products.) Even the dessert was not fresh at all. The wine only would be the reason to visit this...
