Pizzeria Mastro Titta — Restaurant in Civitavecchia

We felt taken advantage of as tourists and hope this post helps others. This is a small pizza shop just a block up the street from McDonalds. You enter the tiny shop to order your pizza but no seating inside. My wife ordered one slice to try while I waited outside. There were what appeared to be convenience tables along the sidewalk, similar to the small Gelato shops to lean against and eat your Gelato. The slice cost approximately 2.50. The staff saw me standing outside waiting for my wife and came out to place a couple of napkins for us on a table while the pizza was being heated. At first I thought it was a kind gesture. She then came out with the pizza and placed it on the table. We noticed our credit card receipt was 6.07. When we questioned the amount, the lady told us it was a service charge for two people to stand and use the outside table. The pizza was average, but the moment was ruined with how she placed napkins on the table, and since we did not reject the napkins, she charged us service charges for two people. Just a heads-up warning to anyone wanting to try this place. Stand away from the table while waiting for your pizza. We try to support the small businesses, but would never return to this place, especially with so many other pizza places...

Mi sono fermata in questa pizzeria perchè la pizza dalla vetrina sembrava molto invitante. Non l avessi mai fatto. Ho pagato 20 euro e qualcosa per tre pezzettini di pizza e due supplí. L impasto della pizza era talmente pesante, che ho passato la notte con bruciori di stomaco, e il giorno dopo ancora me la sentivo come pietra. La ragazza al banco, era talmente logorroica che non lasciava tempo di decidere, perchè doveva suggerirti di prendere tutto non lasciando il tempo di fare una domanda, o di concluderla una domanda, lo spazio ristretto avanti al bancone non permetteva di muoversi se poco poco entrava una seconda persona. Non consiglio a nessuno di andarci, ci sono pizzerie meno pretenziose, che meritano davvero. Se potessi mettere zero...
