Ristorante Pizzeria Da Baffone — Restaurant in Civitavecchia

We are here for 3 nights and place was recommended. Went for lunch an a waiter showed us to a table at 1:50, no one came by for 20 minutes. Finally ordered 2 beers and a fungi pizza. Took another 20 minutes for beer to show up and another 20 minutes for them to deliver the wrong pizza. We got a margarita instead. I think they just took it back and threw mushrooms on it. No one came by asked if we were liked it offered any oil or anything to drizzle on the pizza, not even a peeper shaker on the table. We travel a lot and generally never have a big complaint about anything, but after the service I received it will definitely not be a recommendation of mine. How often do you walk along a holiday promemade past lines of restaurants with large menu placards outside and think, this will just be cheap and cheerful holiday food. Well, thankfully we put any such thoughts aside and went in to ask for a table for two. The restaurant was busy and it took a moment or two to get us seated, but from there on we knew we had made a good decision. The staff were great, attentive and friendly, the food was great and the atmosphere was exactly what you would expect of an Italian restaurant in Italy, full of conversations and laughter. The wine was very reasonably priced and the quality better than the price suggested. We thanked the owner for our enjoyable meal and he rushed to bring us a complimentary chilled limoncello. The restaurant itself was pretty spacious, they offer inside and outside sitting. During spring and early autumn it is perfect to sit outside and people watch. They display their menu out on the street so it is very easy to find. The waiters speaks great english so communication is not a problem. They offer extensive menu but my choice fell on my fav italian dish which is seafood pasta & mixed fried fish. To be honest, compare to other italian restaurant I've been, the flavor here lacking a little bit, everything tasted okay, but nothing stood out. It was just an okay lunch for me.
