La Cava dei Sapori Como — Restaurant in Como

It's hard to put my thoughts together because my family and I experienced a lot in the restaurant. Based on security, I booked a table online to make sure we had a seat. I received the confirmation in a few minutes and everything was indeed fine when we arrived at the restaurant. They welcomed me kindly, the table was set for 3 people and they managed well with my bad English. The place is cozy, friendly and not ostentatious... but the menu... :) We ordered the food, my daughter a Carbonara, my wife Mixed fried seafood and I asked for lamb. After a few minutes, the waitress appeared and we were given brilliant appetizers as a surprise until the main course arrived. We got a fantastic piece of octopus with sea bream, along with another fried fish. This is where I began to suspect that we were in for something special. And so it happened. The Carbonara arrived, which my daughter immediately liked. My wife simply said that the Mixed fried seafood was perfect. And finally the lamb. I was a little afraid that I would be left with a sense of loss, but this is not what happened here and now. The lamb chops were soft and crumbly, and the rhubarb made every bite very special, and I haven't even mentioned the truffles yet. Here and now we had a real gastronomic experience, which we will surely...

We were in a family of 4, two adults and two kids. The restaurant is overpriced for what it is. More that 40 euros for a piece of "ok" meat and fries for example. But the worst was definetely the service. We had a reservation at 19, and the waitress was clearly in a rush to get our orders, at 19:01 she came for the second time to our table saying that the restaurant would be full and due to that she wouldnt be able to come back and we had to rush our order. At this moment we ordered an apetizer and said that we were still evaluating the menu. As we are used to bad service in france, we rushed to make our order. Once we had started eating the apetizer, the plates came to the table (around 19:08), faster tha mcdonalds. We kindly asked for her to come back in a few minutes because we were still eating... anyway the waitress destroyed the "ambiance". After that we received the food that was ok. No more than this. The manager clearly saw that they were messing up, came to the table with a big smile but didnt do anything.

All this for 200 euros... for 3 plates and drinks. Definetely dont...

Βασικά μιλάμε για ένα εστιατόριο έκπληξη στο Como…. Γενικότερα θέλω να σας ενημερώσω ότι δεν κάνω πάρα πολλές αξιολόγησης εκτός εάν είναι μοναδικές εμπειρίες….. Ας ξεκινήσουμε με τα βασικά… Το εστιατόριο βρίσκεται σε μία απλή γειτονιά του Como…. θα έλεγα ότι είναι κρυμμένο …. Οι φωτογραφίες που υπάρχουν στο διαδίκτυο το αδικούν πάρα πολύ…. Θα πρότεινα ο ιδιοκτήτης να επενδύσει σε μία φωτογράφηση με επαγγελματία φωτογράφο και να ανεβάσει σωστές φωτογραφίες στο διαδίκτυο αφού ο χώρος είναι minimal αλλά πάρα πολύ όμορφος…. Εδώ θα ήθελα να ενημερώσω ότι ταξιδεύω όλη την Ευρώπη με μοτοσυκλέτα μόνο μου, φτάνω στο μαγαζί Κυριακή βράδυ χωρίς κράτηση με το κράνος στο χέρι και ζητάω τραπέζι για ένα άτομο, με υποδέχεται η Βικτόρια μια φοβερή επαγγελματίας που ξέρει πολύ καλά τη δουλειά της, επίσης γνωρίζει πάρα πολύ καλά την αγγλική γλώσσα. Στη συνέχεια θα μιλήσω για τον Εμμανουηλ έναν επαγγελματία σομελιέ ο οποίος θα ήθελα να σας ενημερώσω ότι ξέρει πάρα πολύ καλά τη δουλειά του και οι γνώσεις του είναι πραγματικά εξειδικευμένες. Σε ό,τι αφορά την ποιότητα του φαγητού θα ήθελα να πω ότι Ο σεφ και η κουζίνα είναι πάρα πολύ δυνατή ομάδα, με λίγα λόγια τα πιάτα που ήρθαν στο τραπέζι ήτανε μοναδικά…. Θα ήταν άδικο να μην πω ότι οι τιμές ήταν εξαιρετικές, κανένα πρόβλημα. Για να μην σας κουράζω ένα από τα καλύτερα εστιατόρια που έχω επισκεφτεί μέχρι τώρα και θα ήθελα να πω συγχαρητήρια στον ιδιοκτήτη ο οποίος έχει επιλέξει αυτή την ομάδα. Σας ευχαριστώ πολύ πέρασα υπέροχα. Μάριο.

Let's start with the basics... The restaurant is located in a simple neighborhood of Como.... I would say it is hidden .... The photos on the internet do it a great deal of justice.... I would suggest the owner invest in a photo shoot with a professional photographer and upload proper photos online since the place is minimal but very, very beautiful.... Here I would like to let you know that I travel all over Europe by motorbike alone, I arrive at the shop on a Sunday night without a reservation with helmet in hand and ask for a table for one person, I am greeted by Victoria a great professional who knows her job very well, she also knows the English language very well. Next I will talk about Emmanuel a professional sommelier who I would like to inform you that he knows his job very well and his knowledge is really specialised. Regarding the quality of the food I would like to say that the chef and the kitchen are a very strong team, in short the dishes that came to the table were unique.... It would be unfair not to say that the prices were excellent, no problem.
