Lo Scrocchiaro Pizzeria — Restaurant in Comunità montana della Valtellina di Tirano

Had the best lasagna of my life. Was stopping over for a couple of hours at Tirano before catching the Bernina express. Decided to try out this pizzeria after reading the good reviews.

Food : We had a classic margarita pizza and a lasagna with a Nutella pizza for desert. The Margarita was thin, crispy and delicious. The lasagna was melting in the mouth with wonderful flavours and perfectly balanced. And you must try the Nutella pizza slice. It's extremely delicious. I never thought Nutella n pizza would go well together. It's also a small portion size so won't be too heavy.

Cost: The ambience was just ok but given the price you cannot complain. We paid 18.5 euros for everything mentioned above n 2 Coke cans.

Hospitality: The waiting staff was very humble n friendly. Both the ladies we met looked like they were enjoying themselves and were greeting everyone with a smile! The service was ultra fast.

Misc: They will take the order and serve you on the table but you need to do some self service as well. The silverware and condiments are kept near the counter and you need to get it yourself.

Entro per un trancio di pizza e porto la bottiglia di acqua ancora piena che avevo in auto, dato che sono tutti i giorni in giro per lavoro, e quando ordino un trancio di pizza il titolare si lamenta dicendomi che l'acqua la dovrei comprare e non portarmela, io gli ho detto che l'ho portata solo per non fare spreco perché avendo i buoni pasto dell'azienda non l'ho fatto assolutamente per risparmiare come avrà mal pensato. Fatto sta che per farlo contento, ho ordinato l'acqua, l'ho pagata e gliel'ho lasciata lì. Almeno l'ho accontentato. Dopo questo ovviamente non tornerò più lì, anche perché 7 euro per un trancino di pizza mediocre e una bottiglietta d'acqua mi sembra esagerato, a prescindere che abbia i buoni pasto. Andrò altrove, dove con 5 euro mangi un bel primo, acqua e caffè o con 7 euro un bel secondo con contorno. Non è molto ospitale e cortese lamentarsi per una bottiglietta d'acqua, me lo avesse fatto capire in maniera più gentile non mi sarei fatto nessun problema. I would not suggest coming here if you are planning on stoping before reboarding the Bernina Express. The restaurant closes at 14 h so the selection is very limited by the time the train arrives at 12.50 h.
