When we entered the place we requested for something downstairs since it was difficult for my father to climb up. We were told we will need to adjust 3 people on table of 2 and so we went upstairs. Guess what - the table was of the EXACT SAME SIZE. Additionally it was suffocating hot - we saw some people come up and leave immediately. It did not really end there.
The menu was only in Italian and it was a nightmare to try and understand what goes into the pizzas As a vegetarian (not vegan), you have ZERO options with anything other than bread and cheese. We added 2 toppings with extra cost and it looked like one half piece of mushroom or even less chopped and put on just a couple if slices out of the whole pizza. When we tried to understand the menu the waiter looked frustrated and annoyed with us.. so awesome to have to order with someone like that. We ended up ordering 2 pizzas we hated and didn't have any tomato based pizza sauce in them which we love. Pizzas came without any accompaniments - no oil, parmesan, nothing We needed some spicy oil, oregano.. we tried calling them softly but no one paid attention. When we raised our voice a bit and were told off on that!!! Not just that, there was no suggestion on how we could actually call them upstairs when needed. My father played a bell video loudly so someone would come (didn't work until the next course was to be served)
All in all, one night in Tirano and we chose this place! Just our luck because it looked like the only open place.
P.S.: it is quite obvious from the owner's comment that he didn't care that my 65yr old father had to walk down for bathroom - it was my father's decision not to complain about it since we were actually celebrating my husband's birthday that day. Blame it on the 65yr old not to remember QR codes and the shizz! Owner's comment really reflects their level of service. Burnt pizza or ZERO vegetarian options with actual vegetables is not his care either! They focus on NOT serving oil and parmesan with...
Read moreWe waited here for 20 minutes until someone came to take the order. 10 minutes later we got our starter. We we are two people and they only brought the knives and forks even without a plate. And after 40 minutes we still didn't get our pizza. In the meantime, the table after us already finished and left!!! We asked the waiter, how long we should wait, he said, he will tell the kitchen to start and ran away, before we could talk. And then we ask another waiter. And he told us, that they will hurry up. Yes, that was 10 minutes ago and we wanted to leave. The waiter rejusted our request to onlay pay what we had at first and then after a long discussion he gave us the receipt and he calculated the service fee twice! We only got one starter and didn't even get a plate! After another discussion we only paid what we had. But this was such an unpleasant case at the last...
