Our last night in Limone sul Garda, we decided to give Hotel Bar Limone a try. I ordered the spaghetti with garlic, oil, chilli and tomatoes, but it came with egg pasta, which had a strong eggy flavour. For me, that’s not the right pasta for this dish – you really want the garlic, oil and chilli to shine, not be overpowered by egg. It just felt like it was missing that final spark.

The lasagna, however, was a winner – full of flavour and beautifully made. The onion, tomato and basil salad was fresh, simple, and absolutely delicious. Prosecco was fine, but the Pink Floyd cocktail? Now that was a standout.

I absolutely love this bar & hotel. It's a very friendly family run enterprise with a warm atmosphere, cheap drinks & food, a wonderful pool friendly staff & great service.
