We usually love this restaurant and visit it every year when we're in Villasimius. The food here is always delicious, and they even offer gluten-free pizza, which we really appreciate. Up until this recent visit, we had always been very satisfied.
Unfortunately, our most recent experience was very disappointing. While we’ve always enjoyed the food here, the service on this particular day was completely unacceptable.
We are very understanding people and fully aware of how stressful the hospitality industry can be, especially with the high volume of tourists. However, that's no excuse for deliberately ignoring guests and making them feel unwelcome. On this occasion, we were treated very poorly by the waitstaff in the upper terrace area.
When I tried to order a drink, my attempts to get the staff's attention were ignored for quite some time. Eventually, an older woman came to take my order and that of a friend. When I encouraged my friend to start, he hesitated for a moment. She seemed to interpret this as if we were still undecided and immediately turned away to start talking to her colleague, even though we were ready to order. As she walked away, I called out to let her know we were ready, but she briefly turned back, made a dismissive hand gesture, and told me to "tranquilo," implying I should calm down and wait.
I want to emphasize that I am the last person to be pushy or rude, as I work in customer service myself and understand how challenging it can be. However, the way we were treated made us all feel extremely uncomfortable that evening. Not once did we see a smile from any of the staff—not towards us or anyone else.
To add to the experience, when my friend went inside later to pay, the staff member did apologize to her, explaining that they were very busy and stressed. While I appreciate the acknowledgment, I really would have preferred if the apology had been directed at me as well. We ordered veracity of main dishes as well as starters to share. Pizzas ware good and tasty no complaints whatsoever, but my mum orders a burger... When it arrived we noticed some fungus on the bread bun. We didn't want to make a big issue so I politely and (quietly!!!) inform the waiter about it. He then took the burger bun (only the bread ) and took it up in the air with an arrogant manner stated No! No! No, and walked away. We waited for about 5 to 8 minutes trying to get attention from other members of staff but without success. Suddenly the same waiter arrives with a DIFFERENT ( whole pice ) of a burger bun and very aggressively, ostentatiously and loudly tries to explain to my mum how the burger bun looks like!?! and walked away. Other customers ware looking at us and we felt very uncomfortable. I shared my food with my mum as we ware all about to finish and we didn't really know what to do. When all plates ware cleared the waiter arrived and asked my mum if she wanted a replacement as she didn't touch the rest of her burger that was still in front of her on the plate at all this time. I am in the restaurant business for the past 10 years and never left a bad review as I understand how hard can it be at times and I know that mistakes can happen when you are busy. I know what the fungus on burger bun looks like from my own experience and believe me we didn't want to make and issue, just have the bread replaced......

Read moreI need to share my point of view of this restaurant, where the first impression gives you feeling how they try to be glamorous, with “managers” seat you to table with help of staff, but still something tells you that something with this restaurant is missing and it is called that human touch, that they unfortunately just dont have. Simply something is missing. Food still is good, not to be understood wrong.
Long story short, my girlfriend received pizza with a bug in it, well attached/ baked on it :)
We did not want to make a scene about it, she sliced a piece with extra bug away but we decided just to mentioned it at the end to a “manager”. He offered a new pizza, which is correct, but not after you ate your pizza anyway, and just mentioned this to let him know. Then his reply was, that we are in nature and it happens, and to slice the pizza around and je can not do anything about it :) So this is where we got confirmation, that everything is just polished outside but no extra touch, of apology first, then maybe he could offer free coffee, glass of wine, juice, desert, discount…but none of that happened…and do not get us wrong, we did not come for any free of that, just trying to show you the picture of “shinny car with broken engine” restaurant :) Low rate is just because it is not everything about good food but also about making clients feel good also during their visit not just to bring them inside.
