We must have come the night when a drunk toddler was running the kitchen because this was THE WORST MEAL WE HAVE EVER HAD. We started with a hommous that was unseasoned and tasteless, but at least was edible. Then came the "risotto". It was liquid, tasteless and the grain was so overcooked you couldn't even tell it was rice that you were eating. We sent it back and decided to end our dinner right then. Just a wonderful meal at Cek. It’s a gorgeous little spot with local produce and recipes on display. Not too many tables so make a reservation. Every dish was excellent but the risotto really stood out for me as just perfection. They also have an amazing wine list. How this place doesn’t have a Michelin star...

In generale non do 5 stelle alla prima visita, ma per questo piccolo ristorante nel centro di Cuneo mi sento di farlo. Ho avuto il piacere di gustare piatti fatti con maestria da un giovane e talentuoso Chef. Innanzi tutto siamo stati accolti con il calore che si riserva agli amici e come gesto di benvenuto ci è stato portato un delizioso e delicato fiore di zucca ripieno (non il solito che ci si aspetta). A seguire abbiamo scelto dalla carta, che propone una scelta non ampia (e questa è una qualità), l'uovo poché, asparagi, spinaci selvatici e crumble di acciughe, quindi la pancia di maialino da latte cotto nel fieno. Per finire un tortino al cioccolato e zabaione. Ogni portata, correttamente dosata, è stata una delizia di ingredienti, ben bilanciati che lasciano il segno nella memoria.
