Bistro_Burger_Dolceacqua — Restaurant in Dolceacqua

Showed up with three of us on a Sunday night after the Monaco GP, ready for burgers at a place literally called Bistro Burger. First thing the waiter says? “We have paninis.”

Sir. No. That’s not how this works.

Luckily, after a few genuinely tasty small bites, three actual burgers magically appeared. No menu, no options, just “Here, eat this.” And honestly? No complaints – they were good. Dessert was also off-menu: a small bowl of fruit, described to us live by the waiter, who apparently is the menu. Respect.

Pretty sure the chef was still emotionally at the finish line in Monaco, but hey, so were we. Friendly goodbye after I broke the ice with my flawless translator act.

Next time I want one of the other five...

Il salmone di Dolceacqua! Decidiamo di trascorrere una serata nell’ incantevole borgo di Dolceacqua. Prenotiamo e ci viene detto che saremo stati in terrazza! Veniamo sistemati sul marciapiede con il capotavola posto a pochi cm dal cestino della spazzatura. Ordiniamo tre insalate con finocchio, arancia e salmone: poco di tutto e 10 grammi circa di salmone. Gli altri commensali ( 7) ordinano un hamburger: arrivano freddi ed accompagnati da patatine anche loro temperatura ambiente. Chiediamo del pane per le insalate : arriva scarso e gommoso. Costo di ciascuna insalata 12 euro per circa mezzo finocchio , due spicchi di arancia e 10 g di salmone. Paghiamo chiedendo di utilizzare Satispay poiché è presente il logo sulla porta di ingresso. Risposta: no non è più in uso. Terminato il pagamento aspetto di essere sola e, sottovoce e con il massimo garbo possibile, esprimo la mia perplessità circa la mia tristissima insalata! Mi viene risposto: signora sa quanto costa il salmone? 6 euro per 100 g e poi..SIAMO A DOLCEACQUA! Penso che in un borgo pieno di magia anche la qualità e la gentilezza non dovrebbero mancare. 50 g di salmone sarebbero stati sufficienti come pure due o tre spicchi in più di arancia. Killer.. great people, great vibe. Music is good, classic Italian, and not too loud (which I like). Amazing drink selection even if it might not seem like it at first. Most of all, it is true Italian style hanging by the street. Full credit to Giovanni who engineered the Black Gin photo with Dolc’acqua Castello in the background, both in focus. He is awesome.
