La pasta di U — Restaurant in Dolceacqua

Wow. We came here to have drinks and dessert at 3:00 on June 28th. I wish that we had gotten the waiter’s name because he was the most unbelievably rude and unkind waiter we have ever come across. When my dad tried to order drinks the waiter kept walking away from him and going to other tables without getting our order. Then he comes back and leaves again when my dad asked a question. Finally he comes back and was like “you just want drinks only” and we said drinks and dessert and he starts grabbing our cups and placemats and storms away. He also kept rolling his eyes at us every time we tried to order. There was no way we were staying in such an unwelcoming place and we got the idea that he wanted us to leave when he took our cups and placemats, so we got up to leave and he started shouting at us and proceeded to flip us off. What a nasty piece of garbage and disappointing way to experience Dolceacqua that I had been looking forward to. Stay far away from this restaurant and do not give them...

Amazing little authentic Italian “bistrot” in the very center of Dolceacqua. Yes it is not a 5 stars restaurant; it’s small, authentic, with Italian music, it has a soul, not “stars”. Excellent wine (2.50€-4€), saucy tasteful not expensive main dishes, gnocchi, pasta etc. Wonderful owner. Great value for money. One of the cheapest restaurants in the area but definitely worth a visit!!! We ate and drank so well!! Try the frozen homemade limoncello at the end 🍋

To all the people saying that they got robbed - learn how to read, in Italy you pay for the water at the table and you pay for “coperto” (it’s basically a “serving” (fork,napkins etc) which is 2€ per person usually), it’s normal.

Buongiorno , questa recensione molto negativa e' dovuta al comportamento inqualificabile di una Signora che serviva dietro il banco bar ( presumo una titolare ) venerdi sera in occasione dei festeggiamenti in corso . Ecco i fatti successi : venerdi sera arrivati a Dolceacqua intorno alle 21.30 immersi nella meravigliosa folla in occasione della festa insieme a mia moglie ed amici , chiedo se qualcuno ha sete visto che volevo entrare in un locale per prendermi qualcosa da bere . La compagnia decide per dell'acqua ed un ghiacciolo . Quindi entro dentro "" La Pasta di U "" , bar ristorante , al cassiere chiedo 2 bottiglie di acqua 1 chinotto Lurisia ed un ghiacciolo . Subito il cassiere mi dice che il chinotto non c'e' , ma gli faccio presente che nel frigo vetrina dietro di e' in bella vista . Quindi il cassiere chiede alla suddetta Signora il prezzo della bibita ( molto probabile che il cassiere fosse stato "reclutato" solo per quella serata evento ) , subito la Signora risponde che il chinotto non c'era , al che sia io che il cassiere gli facciamo presente che ci sono parecchie bottiglie nel frigo/vetrina . Al che la Signora dice "" allora sono 5 euro per il chinotto "" , io rispondo sorridendo "" come in aeroporto"" e la Signora "" se non le va bene puo' andare da un'altra parte "" con un tono molto maleducato . Tenendo presente che l'acqua e' costata 1 euro come il ghiacciolo , mi domando come puo' lo stesso chinotto aumentare di 2 euro dal giorno prima . Ero in vacanza con nessuna voglia di litigare per un mio sfizio ma La Signora si ricordi che il cliente se educato ti porta guadagni e Tu non ti devi permettere questa arroganza , Ti saresti evitata questa recensione e il passa parola negativo del tuo locale...
