Vespucci Lab — Restaurant in Favignana

Vespucci Lab is a MUST VISIT if you are visiting Favignana. It is not traditional Italian but an amazing gastronomic experience. We are American and had been traveling in Sicily for 10 days and needed a departure from the monolithic offerings in the area. Ismael and his team were the perfect anecdote.

For dinner we opted for the Smashburger and a Fregola salad which were AMAZING (chef's kiss). These items were expertly crafted and fit the bill for what we were looking for. Each item still has the spirit of the local culture so you wont miss a beat. This a great cafe off the street of one of the main piazzas so its great to sit on the outdoor bar and still have some peace and quiet.

Our experience was so great we skipped our complimentary breakfast at our hotel and wen back the next day for an omelette (think of The Bear) and Avocado Toast. These foods are so common place to our palette but are considered "experimental" for the area. I say KEEP EXPERIMENTING and we can wait to return to see what you whip up...

I don’t write many reviews but I just had to for Vespucci Lab - 5/5 stars for everything! My wife and I needed a little break from traditional Italian food so we stopped by this little chic spot just out of the busy tourist centre. I am a bit of a burger connoisseur and I have to say it was one of the BEST smash burgers I have ever had! Cooked to perfection with amazing crispy edges, oozing cheese & beautiful fresh chewy bun - just the way it should be! It was so good that I had to have a second one the next day and the guys running the place, Paolo & Ismael, were so friendly, kind and accommodating that they did delivery to our hotel so that we could stay by the pool & didn’t have to make the long walk in - they brought it directly to our sun-beds in under 25mins of...

Yummmm. I came for a late light bite and sip and found a gorgeous spot I can’t wait to return to. I enjoyed two delightful Sicilian beers and two tasty small plates. Excited to see they offer breakfast now, too :) And when I asked, one of the staff (a local) gave me several recommendations for local sights—all have been marvelous! What an excellent offering in the town center.
