We love Ferrara and have found wonderful restaurants there. This one was an enormous disappointment. So many reasons. We had reservations and arrived on time. We were put in an uncomfortable place even though the restaurant was empty. When asking about wines, we were guided to one of the worst tasting red wines we had in Italy. Staff stood near the door, chatting, while we sat and waited. And waited. Food was repetitious, seasoning was overly salty (and I like salt), and...the waiting. Did I mention how we were neglected? If the other people were all regulars, then...definitely go if you are a local. But if you are an Italian-conversant tourist, they know you won't be back and don't care about the level of service they provide. They crowded us into a tiny space while giving solo diners all the comfort in the world.

This is NOT a Michelin level restaurant. Aside from salt, the sauces are tasteless. The fish dishes were in particular awful. They are supposed to specialize in seafood, so perhaps there's some theory of seafood that prefers bland salty sauces, but that doesn't explain the poor service, the terrible and expensive wine. It was also overall expensive, we considered this a splash-out. It was one of the few disappointing meals in Italy.

We think an expensive restaurant should have ambiance and be thoughtful as to service and...

Amazing place a hidden gem in Ferrara, Emilia-Romana behind an old simple buildings walls. If you are on vacation around Bologna and you are a foodie, pls do not miss this place. Its even worth just to drive to Ferrara for lunch or dinner however the small city also cute. We had the degustation menu for lunch 65eur that had 7courses that is rather 10 as you get also some small bites. I also had the wine pairing with it for 30eur ( 3 wine).I am a huge foodie and I only can say everything was perfect from start to end including food, service and wine. Even the wine glasses were fantastic experience to drink from them. The guys went above and beyond to make you feel home. If you choose to go there it is easier to book for lunch as you have better chance to get a spot. Otherwise recommended 2 weeks in advance at least. If i will go back to the region I will certainly return for...

Their dishes looked good in pictures. It was a complete let down in reality. The only thing that tasted good was the eel appetizer. Baccala main was horribly overcooked with tasteless sauce. I could not eat but a small portion of it - very rare behavior for me. My wife’s appetizer and main were in the latter category as well. For the most expensive restaurant on our 5 day trip to Ferrara it was unacceptable. The wine that was recommended to us by the “sommelier” was one of the worst we’ve ever had. It’s such a shame, for Emilia–Romagna has wonderful wines. Service was virtually non-existent.

It is a gem. I would go to Ferrara again just to visit this restaurant one more time. We had an outstanding dinner experience. We went for a tasting menu with a focus on seafood and fish with wine pairing. Everything was absolutely fantastic. My favourite dish was risotto with black squid ink. Wine pairing worked very well. Especially, we liked how yuzu sake matched the “meat and fish” course. In the end we took pictures of 3 wines that we liked so much that we want to find them to buy. The service was excellent as well. The people were super friendly and attentive, we felt being welcomed.
