It is neither fine dining, nor haute cuisine, but it does what it should very well indeed. The pasta courses we had were both very well executed, standard Italian primi dishes. The portion size was excellent. The secondi were also fine - my partner especially enjoyed the tender veal in the saltimbocca. There is very well priced wine by the carafe and the service was friendly and informal. Significantly the place was frequented by Italian couples and families. The Carbonara was so salty it was almost inedible, the melanzane was cold and just boiled aubergine with tinned tomatoes thrown on top and the steak although well cooked was tiny!
