Unfortunately after having a great first experience here when I went back for a second dinner this restaurant wanted me to pay for a dish that I did not eat because the server got the order wrong. It is because she did not understand any english. I order the breaded chicken cutlet and when some dry piece of chicken came out I sent it back because that is not what I wanted nor ordered. When the bill came they kept that dish on the receipt!! Wanting me to pay for something I 1) Didn’t eat and 2) Did not want-and 3) Did not order. This is exactly why all restaurants in Italy come with the retardation factor. In the restaurant industry its customers first. If the server gets the order wrong its not the customers responsibility to “pay for the dish” like they were trying to get me too. Very unfortunate because the lady who was supposedly the owner was very very nice throughout my meals. It just goes to show though how we differentiate in the restaurant industry in the states compared to the EU. America will...
Read moreAmazing evening at La Fenice! While this restaurant is not on the main strip with the rest of the restaurants, that is exactly why we chose it. Our rule of thumb for a great meal and experience is to go where the locals go, and this did not disappoint. Our hostess/waitress, Sonia, was the sweetest woman on the planet and went above and beyond, even through our horribly broken Italian language attempts. The food was some of the best we have had in Italy and the value was incredible. The pacing of food was also great. Coming from Canada we aren’t used to the extremely long meals, but at the same time we want to try our best with the culture. The service was perfectly timed with enough time to relax and finish up the great bottle of wine. I highly recommend this restaurant, and it’s a perfect farewell to Italy (as we stayed in Fiumicino before our flight...
Read moreWait 2 hours for the pizza. Paid 127 euro with 6 adults just for the antipasto. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🤮
To the OWNER of the pizza shop:
The 127 euro includes antipasto for 6 ADULTS and nothing for 2 kids to eat(great job to point out there’s two children with no food, 1 point to the owner 😊) We booked the restaurant at 8:30, arrived at 8:32. Doesn’t matter you have 100 customers today or 1 million customers, if you are understaff, that’s really not our fault to blame. 2 hours waiting for 6 pizza really is outrageous. And we did pay 127 euro in full amount so it’s really not our fault that you guys couldn’t serve the pizza within 2 hours and have to throw it away. How about hire more staff in the kitchen and be nice to customers instead of blaming us that you have to throw...
