100000000/10 rating. During my five-day stay in Florence, this restaurant easily won me over, and has become my favourite place to eat ever.
We came here at least once every single day, with the exception of the Monday (closed). My favourite became the Spaghettini dei Briganti, with an honourable mention to the Spaghetti alla carbonara. The Briganti dish was perfectly seasoned, and the diced tomatoes were somehow perfectly cooked to the right flavour and texture. The carbonara was probably the best that I have tried.
The desserts were great. The tiramisu was my absolute favourite with coffee ordered on the side. I also tried the gelato with fresh strawberries, and the Zuccato. I believe you cannot go wrong with whatever you choose to order.
In addition to the amazing food, the service was phenomenal from the whole team. You could also tell that they have mastered their craft, as the food would come out effortlessly fast. Great for all the times we came on a hangry stomach.
Pro-tip: make a reservation, this place is very popular with the locals who know what’s good.
I am looking forward to coming back here on my next visit...

Not criticising about the food. We were aware that the restaurant was busy this evening. We were recommended by our hotel to try out the restaurant and waited patiently to be seated.
It was more around the quality of customer service rather than the food. Food was good quality and came out quickly. My real issue was when my partner and I were made to feel like we were the last customers to be provided any service let alone bringing any drinks to start the evening. We were surrounded by a lot of locals who spoke the language who the waiters/ waitress were able to engage in conversation, appearing friendly and warm towards others, providing them with quality service. We couldn’t help but feel ignored when surrounded by others being served before us. It was 10 to 15 minutes before we had a drink and again, others around us had already received their meals.
I left disappointed this evening but an honest review to others who might be visiting the...
Read moreWent here for lunch and was given a full menu. After ordering pizza and a cocktail, we were told that pizzas and spirits aren’t sold until dinner. Ok, cool - perhaps this restaurant should have a specific lunch and a specific dinner menu to avoid confusion like this. We move on and order 2 pastas for lunch instead.
The carbonara has several eggshells in it and the eggs are scrambled into the dish. A proper carbonara should have the egg coating the pasta, not chunks of scrambled egg in the dish. I flag the waiter and gently point out the eggshells in the dish. The waiter kind of fumbled through an apology, stating the eggshells were a sign that the “dish is fresh”. What? lol. No offer to make a new dish, nothing.
I’m sure this restaurant has potential, the chicken cutlets that other tables ordered looked really good. But if you’re looking for pizza at lunch, this place isn’t...
